The joint workshop scheduled for this evening at 7:00 p.m. with the Board of Aldermen and the Planning and Zoning Commission has been canceled.
The meeting was originally scheduled to discuss the City Code related to sheds. Due to last-minute circumstances, the Planning and Zoning Commission will not have a quorum, so the meeting cannot be held.
The workshop will be rescheduled, and additional information will be shared once a new date has been set.
At the moment, we don’t have an immediate fix on the City’s side, but we are actively working with CodeRED to get this resolved as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, the fastest way to get assistance is to contact CodeRED support directly:

We’ve been notified by our yard waste provider that this week’s yard waste collection will be delayed until next week due to a workforce shortage.
To help catch up, they are bringing in additional drivers from out of state next week and working to restore normal service as quickly as possible.
We understand this is an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as they work through the issue. A call notification will also be going out to affected residents.
🍃 What to do:
Please put your yard waste out next week to be picked up during the delayed service.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping keep our community looking great!

❄️ Snow Operations Underway ❄️
As weather conditions develop, plowing will take place as needed today.
Residents are asked to keep vehicles off the street if possible. If you must park on the street, please use the north or east side of the roadway to allow plows to pass.
Thank you for your patience as crews work to keep streets passable.

City crews will be pretreating roadways today in advance of the expected winter weather.
Please keep vehicles off the street whenever possible. If street parking is necessary, remember to park on the north or east side of the street.
Your cooperation helps crews work efficiently and improves road safety for everyone.

Due to expected inclement weather, residents are strongly encouraged to keep vehicles off the street if at all possible to allow crews to safely and efficiently treat and plow roadways.
If you do not have off-street parking, please park your vehicle on the north or east side of the street.
🧂 Road Treatment & Plowing Schedule
Roads will be pretreated on Friday
Plowing will occur as needed on Saturday and Sunday
Your cooperation helps keep streets passable and our crews moving quickly and safely. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe during the storm. ❄️🚜

We will be discussing restoration of Royal Oak Park after the recent MSD work.

🌳 Park Closure Notice 🌳
For everyone’s safety, Royal Oak Park will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday while crews remove several dead trees. This work is being done to make the park safer and more beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
The park will remain closed during work and is expected to reopen Friday, weather and conditions permitting.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these important improvements. We look forward to welcoming everyone back soon!

🗳️ Election Filing Reminder 🗳️
Thinking about running for office? Now’s the time to take the next step.
📌 The final two days to file for the upcoming election are:
Monday, December 29 and Tuesday, December 30
📍 Signups take place at City Hall.
If the holidays have you reflecting on ways to get more involved in your community, we encourage you to stop by early next week to complete your filing. We’re happy to help walk you through the process.
Serving your city starts with showing up—consider filing before the deadline!

As temperatures drop, please remember not to leave your keys in your vehicle while it’s warming up. Every year we see an increase in stolen vehicles during cold-weather warmups.
If your car does not have remote start, we strongly recommend staying with your vehicle while it warms. A quick step inside can be all the opportunity a thief needs.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe! 💙

Due to the recent storms, Waste Connections is running behind on several cities throughout the region. As a result, only about half of Warson Woods was collected today. The remaining homes are expected to be serviced tomorrow.
We appreciate your patience as their crews work to catch up safely after the severe weather. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to City Hall.
Stay safe, Warson Woods! 🌧️🚛
